History Skills

Purpose: To empower students with a comprehensive understanding of historical inquiry, as they delve into the use of primary and secondary sources to unlock the past. Through honing research and analytical skills, students will evaluate the reliability of resources, craft coherent paragraphs that narrate historical events, and decode non-fiction texts for historical context. They will be introduced to key concepts used in History classes at the senior level to assist their understanding of the intricacies of historical events, the multiplicity of historical perspectives, and the broader historical context in which significant events have unfolded.
