Over time technology changes as innovations happen or to meet the needs of the consumer. The item below is something you have probably used a lot (in its modern form though!) 

What is it?

Technology and Consumerism

Due to technological advances and inventions, (particularly in manufactoring) in the 1920s, there was a strong emphasis on buying goods. People were encouraged to spend money and this was seen as supporting the economy, doing a good thing. This began the age of mass production, using assembly lines to make a large amount of products. It is during this time we a rise in advertising of products. Mass advertising and marketing techniques via the 1920s newspapers and radio saw a massive increase in sales. Also during this time people began to use credit to buy goods, paying it off in installments. An installment is a regular payment made towards a loan that was bought with credit. Installments continue until that debt is paid off.

Examples: Monthly phone bill, Netflix subscription, V-Bucks/Robux/Apex Coins, Discord Nitro, a new game title.

2. Estimate the Monthly Installment: Calculate or estimate the monthly cost (installment) of those three things combined.
