The Opposition

• The Opposition Leader- leader of the party that is opposing the government (you are the leader and encourager of your group. You will be selected by your group)

• Deputy Opposition Leader- Supports the PM, steps in for them when they are away

• Opposition Spokesperson- You are the expert in this topic (choose someone who understands what we have been learning about) Your job is to help your group understand what they need to do e.g.  by explaining things they may not get

• Opposition MPs- Members of the opposition

First step is to decide who is going to do which job. You can vote on it if you want or nominate yourself if the group agrees, if you are struggling to decide you can pull names out of a hat.

Your group need to decide on an order of your argument using everyones work as a starting point. Read over each others' work. Who has a really good argument? Try to make 3 main points/arguments.

You can brainstorm/write this out on an A3 sheet.

This will be your opening statement so it needs to have impact!
