Repercussions of 9/11: US Response

A terrorist group called al Qaeda took responsibility for the attack on the Twin Towers in New York on September 11, 2001. Al Qaeda was led by a man named Osama Bin Laden. The attack was devastating, causing thousands of deaths and widespread destruction. After this, many countries, with the U.S. leading, began searching for Bin Laden to bring him to justice. For almost ten years, he managed to hide, first in the mountains of Afghanistan, and later in Pakistan. It took a long time for them to find him because he moved frequently and used remote locations to stay hidden.
